Then scroll down below and you will see the option Dynamic lock and click the box aside of “Allow Windows to detect when you’re away and automatically lock the device” option. This will detect the Bluetooth connected device to the system to lock the PC whenever the Bluetooth device goes out of range.
However, this feature is good for enhancing the security of the PC but it won’t be useful for Home users. This will be more useful for professional users who are working in offices where users go away from the PC. You must be thinking that if the Bluetooth device goes out of range the PC gets locked. Then in the similar way if Bluetooth device again came back in range the PC will be unlocked. Then the answer is no it won’t work that way.

How to Autolock using Screen Saver
You can use this alternate option to Automatically lock your PC when the screen saver pops up. To enable these Settings you have to go to Settings -> Personalization -> lock screen. Then scroll down you will see the option Screen saver settings. Just click on that and a pop up of Screen saver settings will appear on the screen.
After that check the box aside of On resume, display logon screen. You have the option to set a time that for how much time the PC will wait before starting the screen saver. That is all you need to do for Autolock using screen saver option. When your PC goes into screensaver mode and you have to get out of it. Then it will ask for the system password to login to the PC.
Note: In older versions of Windows the Screen saver option is in Control Panel > Appearance & Personalization > Change screen saver. Above we mentioned for after the Windows 10 Creators update.
Some other shortcuts to lock your PC
- Press the Windows + L key on your keyboard. This is a keyboard shortcut to lock Computer.
- Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. A pop-up will appear then click on Lock to lock your PC.
- Click the Start button in the bottom-left corner of your screen. Click the user icon and then select the Lock option to lock the screen.
